Summary

The M-CD Dryer is an agitation type of indirect heating dryer, which incorporates two special hollow sectoral cut discs and one dispersion blade in the jacketed casing. By installing an additional blade, which produces dispersion and disintegrating effects, on the conventional two-shaft type of indirect heating dryer to make it three-shaft type, the M-CD Dryer enables the prevention of the adhesion and provides homogeneous drying of high moisture materials (e.g. slurry and cake) that the two-shaft type of indirect heating dryers could not dry due to the adhesion.

Features

  • Homogeneous drying of high moisture materials enabled
Dispersing and disintegrating the material layer with the dispersion blade prevent uneven drying that results from adhesion or others, providing homogeneous drying.
  • Improved drying efficiency
In addition to normal heat transfer through the jacket and paddle, the hot air is introduced into the materials through the nozzles provided on the bottom, improving the drying efficiency.
  • Drying to low moisture level enabled
Easy adjustment of the residence time and enhanced heat efficiency enable further effective drying up to low moisture level.
  • Reduced-pressure specifications available
Special sealing construction of the shaft end section provides drying under reduced pressure.
  • Easy cleaning
The lower casing can open to facilitate cleaning of discs, blade, and others as well as the inside of the casing.
